JOT321 Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 September 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JOT321, including our website, marketplace, listing tools, messaging features, seller profiles, reviews, Featured Boost and other services we make available.

By creating an account, submitting a listing, buying or selling through JOT321, using our messaging system, purchasing a paid feature, or otherwise using JOT321, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use JOT321.

JOT321 provides an online marketplace that allows users to advertise, discover, discuss, buy and sell items. Unless expressly stated otherwise, JOT321 is not the seller or buyer of items listed by users and does not take ownership of those items.

Individual buyers and sellers are responsible for the transactions they enter into with each other, subject to these Terms and any rights or obligations that apply under law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any legal right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

2. Who may use JOT321

You must be 18 years of age or over to create an account, submit a listing, make an offer, enter into a transaction, or otherwise use JOT321 as a registered user.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when creating or using your account is accurate and kept reasonably up to date.

You must keep your account credentials secure and must not knowingly allow another person to use your account in a way that breaches these Terms.

You must not:

We may require reasonable information or checks where necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, meet legal obligations or operate trust and safety features.

3. Private Sellers and Business Sellers

When submitting a listing, sellers must identify whether they are acting as a Private Seller or a Business Seller.

A Private Seller is a person selling personal items otherwise than as part of a trade, business, craft or profession.

A Business Seller is a person or organisation selling as part of a trade, business, craft or profession.

You must select the seller type that accurately reflects the capacity in which you are selling.

You must not describe yourself as a Private Seller if you are in fact selling as part of a business or trade.

JOT321 may display your seller type on listings, seller profiles and other relevant parts of the marketplace so that buyers can understand the capacity in which you are selling.

Business Sellers are responsible for complying with all legal obligations that apply to their sales, including providing buyers with any information, cancellation rights, remedies, delivery information and other consumer protections required by law. UK guidance confirms that traders selling online have duties around information, payment and delivery, and consumers retain statutory rights such as goods being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

A seller’s Private Seller or Business Seller status is separate from any JOT321 trust or reputation feature such as Verified Seller, Established Seller, Top Rated Seller, ratings or reviews.

Those trust indicators do not guarantee a seller, item or transaction and should not replace a buyer’s own judgement.

4. Listings and seller responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of the listings they submit to JOT321.

A listing must describe the item honestly and must not materially mislead buyers about matters such as its condition, authenticity, age, provenance, quantity, price, location, delivery options or other important characteristics.

Sellers should use clear photographs that reasonably represent the actual item being offered wherever photographs are relevant.

You must not deliberately hide significant damage, defects, alterations, missing parts or other information that a reasonable buyer would consider important.

Listings must use the most appropriate category and must not deliberately use misleading titles, keywords or descriptions to attract unrelated searches.

Where JOT321 asks a seller to provide information such as seller type, location, condition, delivery method, provenance, private identification information or other listing details, that information must be accurate to the best of the seller’s knowledge.

Sellers must have the legal right to sell the item they list.

JOT321 may use automated and manual moderation tools to review listings, messages and other marketplace content. A listing may be held for review, restricted, corrected, removed or otherwise moderated where we reasonably believe this is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or maintain the integrity of the marketplace.

JOT321 moderation does not amount to an authentication, valuation, endorsement or guarantee of any item.

5. Coins, stamps and collectables

JOT321 provides a marketplace for users to list and discover coins, stamps and collectable items. Unless JOT321 expressly states otherwise, JOT321 does not authenticate, grade, value, certify or verify the provenance of items listed by sellers.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate and not misleading, including descriptions of condition, authenticity, provenance, grading, catalogue references, rarity and value.

Any grade, condition assessment, catalogue reference or valuation shown in a listing is the seller’s own description or opinion unless the listing clearly identifies an independent grading, certification or valuation service.

Buyers should review listing photographs and descriptions carefully and use JOT321 messaging to ask the seller questions before agreeing to purchase.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights when buying from a Business Seller.

6. Prohibited and restricted items and content

You must not use JOT321 to list, advertise, offer, request, promote or transact in items or content that are unlawful or prohibited by JOT321.

This includes items that a person cannot lawfully possess, advertise, supply or sell, together with counterfeit, stolen or fraudulently obtained goods.

You must not submit content that:

Some categories of goods may be subject to additional legal restrictions or requirements. Sellers remain responsible for ensuring that an item may lawfully be advertised, sold, posted, transported and supplied.

We may introduce or update category-specific rules where necessary.

Where content is reported or identified as potentially prohibited, unsafe, fraudulent or otherwise unsuitable, JOT321 may investigate and take appropriate action.

7. Buying, offers and transactions

Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing information and asking reasonable questions before committing to a transaction.

Where a seller has enabled offers, a buyer may submit an offer through JOT321.

An offer does not create a completed transaction merely because it has been sent.

A seller may accept or decline an offer.

Where a seller accepts an offer, JOT321 may reserve the item for that buyer and prevent other buyers from entering the same transaction workflow.

Other interested buyers may be shown that the item is no longer available or that another offer has been accepted.

Buyers and sellers should use JOT321’s messaging and transaction tools to communicate about the transaction wherever reasonably possible.

Users must not use offers, messages or transaction tools to:

JOT321 may record transaction states, offers, messages, delivery selections and related activity where reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, prevent misuse and maintain an audit trail.

Unless JOT321 expressly states otherwise for a particular service, the contract for the sale of an item is between the buyer and the seller rather than JOT321.

8. Delivery, postage and collection

Sellers must select an accurate delivery option when creating a listing.

JOT321 may support options such as:

Collection Only — the buyer and seller arrange collection of the item.

Postage Only — the seller sends the item to the buyer.

Collection & Postage — either method may be agreed.

Where postage or courier delivery is used, the seller is responsible for packing the item appropriately, using any agreed delivery method and providing tracking information where available or agreed.

Where collection is used, buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging a suitable time and place.

For safety, users should avoid unnecessarily sharing sensitive personal information through public listings or messages. JOT321 may provide safety guidance for collection transactions.

A seller must not advertise a delivery option that they do not genuinely intend or are not reasonably able to provide.

Business Sellers must comply with any statutory delivery obligations that apply to consumer sales. UK distance-selling rules require traders to give consumers information about delivery arrangements and costs, and goods generally must be delivered within 30 days unless another period is agreed.

Private transactions may be subject to different legal rights and obligations from transactions involving a Business Seller.

9. International use

JOT321 is primarily intended for users in the United Kingdom.

Seller registration is currently intended for UK-based sellers unless JOT321 expressly states otherwise.

UK-based sellers may choose to offer delivery to buyers outside the United Kingdom where they are willing and legally able to do so.

Buyers and sellers involved in an international transaction are responsible for complying with any applicable:

International buyers may be required to pay additional charges such as import VAT, customs duty, handling fees or carrier charges.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, JOT321 does not calculate, collect or guarantee payment of those international charges.

JOT321 does not guarantee that every listing is available for international delivery.

A seller must only offer international postage where they genuinely intend and are reasonably able to provide it.

JOT321 may restrict or remove access to international selling or buying features where necessary for legal, tax, operational, fraud-prevention or platform-safety reasons.

That gives you exactly the launch model we discussed: UK sellers, UK-first marketplace, but overseas buyers can still buy where the seller allows it.

We should also mirror one short line on the Help/Contact side later:

JOT321 is a UK-based marketplace. International purchases may be possible where a seller offers overseas delivery. Customs, taxes and import charges may apply.

10. Business Seller consumer rights

Where a Business Seller sells goods to a consumer, the seller is responsible for complying with all consumer protection laws that apply to that transaction.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include obligations relating to:

For many online distance sales by businesses, consumers have a right to cancel within a statutory period, subject to legal exceptions. Business Sellers must provide any cancellation information and refunds required by law.

Business Sellers must not use JOT321’s Terms, listing wording, messages or other arrangements in an attempt to remove or reduce a consumer’s statutory rights where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

JOT321 does not determine whether a particular transaction qualifies for a specific statutory right. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for understanding the legal rights and obligations that apply to their transaction.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that a buyer or seller may have.

11. JOT321’s role as a marketplace

JOT321 provides a marketplace that enables users to list items, discover listings, communicate with each other and manage marketplace transactions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, JOT321:

The contract for the sale of an item is normally between the buyer and the seller.

JOT321 may provide tools intended to support safer and clearer marketplace activity, including seller status labels, moderation, private identification records, messaging, reporting tools, reviews, transaction states and trust indicators.

These tools do not amount to a guarantee of:

A Verified Seller, Established Seller, Top Rated Seller, rating, review or similar indicator reflects only the criteria used by JOT321 for that feature at the relevant time. It should not be treated as a warranty or guarantee.

Users should exercise reasonable judgement when buying or selling.

JOT321 may collect, verify or report seller information where required by law. UK digital-platform rules can require marketplace operators to collect certain seller information and report qualifying seller data to HMRC.

12. Featured Boost and paid promotional services

JOT321 may offer optional paid services that increase the visibility or prominence of a listing, including Featured Boost.

Purchasing Featured Boost does not guarantee:

Featured placement may depend on factors including availability, listing eligibility, expiry, marketplace layout and other operational rules.

A listing must continue to comply with JOT321’s Terms and marketplace rules while promoted.

JOT321 may refuse, suspend or remove a Featured Boost where the associated listing is removed, prohibited, fraudulent, unlawful or otherwise breaches these Terms.

Where a listing is no longer eligible for promotion because of a breach by the seller, JOT321 may decline to refund the promotional fee where permitted by law.

Any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

The price, duration and main features of a paid promotional service will be shown before purchase.

Unless stated otherwise, Featured Boost is a promotional service only and does not make JOT321 a party to the sale of the item.

13. Payments and Stripe

JOT321 may use Stripe or another third-party payment provider to process payments for JOT321 services, including Featured Boost or other paid platform features.

Payments processed by Stripe are also subject to Stripe’s applicable terms, policies and payment rules.

Where JOT321 later enables marketplace payment functionality between buyers and sellers, additional payment terms may apply.

Stripe Connect is designed for platforms and marketplaces and can create a direct contractual relationship between Stripe and connected users where that model is used.

JOT321 does not store full payment-card details where those details are processed directly by an authorised third-party payment provider.

Users are responsible for providing accurate payment information and must not use payment methods that they are not authorised to use.

Payments may be declined, delayed, reversed, refunded or subject to additional verification by a payment provider in accordance with its own rules and legal obligations.

JOT321 may suspend access to a paid feature where payment has failed, been reversed or has not been completed.

Any refund offered by JOT321 for its own paid services will be handled in accordance with the applicable purchase terms and any statutory rights that apply.

14. Messaging and user communications

JOT321 provides messaging tools so buyers and sellers can communicate about listings, offers and transactions.

Users must use JOT321 messaging responsibly and must not use it to:

Users should keep communication relevant to the listing or transaction wherever reasonably possible.

JOT321 may retain messages and related transaction records where reasonably necessary to operate the service, investigate reports, prevent fraud, enforce these Terms, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations.

JOT321 may restrict messaging access or take other action where misuse is identified.

Users should not share unnecessary sensitive personal information through marketplace messages.

15. Reviews, ratings and seller feedback

JOT321 may allow buyers and sellers to leave ratings, reviews or feedback following marketplace activity.

Reviews and feedback must reflect a genuine experience and must not be:

Users must not attempt to manipulate their own reputation or another user’s reputation.

JOT321 may remove, restrict or investigate reviews where we reasonably believe they breach these Terms, are fraudulent, relate to activity that did not occur, contain unlawful material or otherwise undermine the integrity of the review system.

Ratings, reviews and trust indicators reflect user activity and JOT321 criteria at the relevant time. They do not guarantee future behaviour, item quality or transaction outcome.

16. Moderation, reports and enforcement

JOT321 may use automated systems, manual review and user reports to identify content or activity that may breach these Terms or marketplace rules.

Users may be able to report listings, messages or other activity where they reasonably believe there is a problem such as suspected fraud, prohibited items, counterfeit goods, offensive or unsafe content, misleading information or duplicate listings.

Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed or that action will be taken.

JOT321 may review available information and decide what action is appropriate in the circumstances.

This may include:

JOT321 may preserve relevant records where needed for fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance or platform security.

Moderation decisions do not amount to an endorsement, authentication or guarantee of any user or item.

17. Account restrictions, suspension and closure

JOT321 may restrict, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe this is necessary to:

Where appropriate, JOT321 may first limit certain features rather than close an account completely.

In serious cases, action may be taken immediately.

Users must not create or use another account to avoid a restriction, suspension or closure.

Where an account is restricted or closed, JOT321 may retain information where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or enforcement purposes.

Where reasonably practical and appropriate, JOT321 may provide information about significant account action.

Account closure does not remove any rights, obligations, liabilities or transactions that arose before closure.

18. Intellectual property

The JOT321 name, branding, design, software, layout, graphics and other platform content created by or for JOT321 are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, republish or commercially exploit JOT321 content or systems except where permitted by law or with prior permission.

Users retain ownership of content they submit to JOT321, including listing text and photographs, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

By submitting content to JOT321, you grant JOT321 a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure and improve the marketplace and provide the services requested by you.

This licence ends when the content is no longer reasonably required for those purposes, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention and record-retention requirements.

You must only upload content that you own or are legally entitled to use.

If you believe content on JOT321 infringes your intellectual property rights, you may contact us using the details provided on our Contact page.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or other liabilities that legislation prevents a business from excluding. UK guidance specifically warns against contract terms that attempt to avoid responsibility for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded.

JOT321 provides marketplace tools and services, but we do not ordinarily manufacture, own, inspect or take possession of items listed by users.

We are therefore not responsible for the condition, authenticity, legality, safety, quality, value or suitability of an item merely because it appears on JOT321.

We do not guarantee that:

Where permitted by law, JOT321 will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was entered into.

Nothing in these Terms affects rights or remedies that a consumer has under applicable law.

20. Privacy and cookies

JOT321 processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains, among other things, what personal information we collect, why we use it, how long we may keep it, who we may share it with and the rights available to individuals.

JOT321 may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, JOT321 will seek that consent before using them.

Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where the law permits this.

Users will be given appropriate information about cookies and similar technologies and, where required, a means of managing their choices.

The ICO currently states that organisations must provide clear information about cookies and obtain consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary; users should also be able to control non-essential cookies.

21. Changes to JOT321 and these Terms

JOT321 may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:

Where a change is significant, we may provide reasonable notice through JOT321 or another appropriate communication method.

The date shown at the top of these Terms indicates when they were last updated.

Continued use of JOT321 after revised Terms take effect may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

Nothing in this section allows JOT321 to remove statutory rights or impose changes that would be unlawful or unfair.

JOT321 may also add, change, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for operational, security, legal or commercial reasons.

22. Complaints, contact and governing law

If you have a question, complaint or concern about JOT321, you can contact us using the details provided on the Contact page.

We will aim to consider complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable time.

Where a complaint concerns an individual transaction between a buyer and seller, users should normally first try to resolve the matter directly with each other through JOT321 messaging where appropriate.

This does not affect any right a user has to contact a regulator, consumer protection body, payment provider, law-enforcement authority or court.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law gives a user rights under the law of another part of the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory right you may have to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.
